iSCSI Basic Settings

The following operations are required for iSCSI connection.
Checking the iSCSI Initiator
Checking the iSCSI Initiator Node Name
Setting the iSCSI Target IP addresses
Enabling the iSCSI Target connection
Creating an iSCSI device link
Checking the ETERNUS Disk storage system

Check that the iSCSI Initiator service (iscsid) is enabled.
# svcs -a | grep iscsi
disabled

If the iSCSI Initiator service is "disabled" (the default setting), use the "svcadm" command
to change it to the "online" state.
# svcadm enable iscsi/initiator
# svcs -a | grep iscsi
disabled
14:30:33 svc:/system/iscsitgt:default
online
14:30:33 svc:/network/iscsi/initiator:default
Check the iSCSI Initiator Node Name.
Use the "iscsiadm" command to check the iSCSI Initiator Node Name.
This name is used for the ETERNUS Disk storage system settings.
# iscsiadm list initiator-node
Initiator node name: iqn.1986-03.com.sun:01:0003bace9997.48a386c4
Initiator node alias: -
Login Parameters (Default/Configured):
Header Digest: NONE/-
Data Digest: NONE/-
Authentication Type: NONE
RADIUS Server: NONE
Configured Sessions: 1
Set the iSCSI Target IP address(es).
To connect the iSCSI Target, specify the IP address of each iSCSI CA port of the
ETERNUS Disk storage system that is to be an iSCSI Target, as a "discovery-address".
# iscsiadm add discovery-address
svc:/network/iscsi/initiator:default
