ADJUSTING THE THROTTLE CABLE FREE PLAY
NOTE:
Apply locking agend (LOCKTITE
threads of the locknut 2.
e. Loosen the locknut 4 on the accelerator
cable.
f. Turn the adjusting nut 5 in direction a or
b until the specified throttle cable free play
is obtained.

g. Tighten the locknut 4.
NOTE:
_
If the specified throttle cable free play cannot
be obtained on the throttle body side of the
cable, use the adjusting nut on the handlebar
side.
h. Install the fuel tank and seat.
Refer to "FUEL TANK" and "SEAT AND
SIDE COVERS".

Handlebar side

a. Loosen the locknut 6.
b. Turn the adjusting nut 7 in direction c or
d until the specified throttle cable free play
is obtained.

c. Tighten the locknut.
WARNING

After adjusting the throttle cable free play,
start the engine and turn the handlebar to
the right or left to ensure that this does not
cause the engine idling speed to change.
