Concept of parts life

The period of time during which the Main Motor is
Drum Cartridge
energized is counted.
Fusing Unit
The number of printed pages is counted.
2nd Transfer
The number of printed pages is counted.
Roller
The period of time during which the Main Motor is
Transfer Belt
rotated and the number of printed pages are both

counted.
The number of printed pages compared with the
Toner Cartridge
dot counter value, whichever reaches the life

specifications value, is detected.
* Standard-Capacity Toner Cartridges (C,M,Y), High-Capacity Toner Cartridges (C,M,Y,K).
** In the Status Display menu you can specify whether to continue or stop printing when
there is a toner empty condition.
A. Conditions for Life Specifications Values
• The life specification values represent the number of pages printed or figures equivalent
to it when the given conditions (see the table below) are met. They may be more or less
depending on the machine operating conditions of each individual user.
