Make sure DOS is ready and A> is displayed.

Insert the diskette with LETTER on it (the original
diskette) into your drive.

Type this:
copy letter b:
and press the Enter key.
Notice again where the spaces are.

This message is displayed:
Insert diskette for drive B: and strike
any key when ready

Remove the original diskette. (But don't put it away
you may need it soon.)

Insert the back-up diskette into drive.

Now press a key to tell DOS that the diskettes have been
switched.

Depending on the size of the file being copied (LETTER,
in this example) and your computer's memory, you may
see this message:
Insert diskette for drive A: and strike
any key when ready
