POWER–ASSISTED BRAKE SYSTEM
Condition
Excessive Brake Pedal Travel
Brake Drag
Grabbing or Uneven Braking Action

Possible cause
Air in hydraulic circuit.
Level of brake fluid in the reservoir
too low.
Master cylinder push rod clearance
excessive.
Leakage in hydraulic system.
Master cylinder pistons not returning
correctly.
Restricted brake pipes or hoses.
Parking brake maladjusted.

Brake pedal free play insufficient.
Piston in the master cylinder sticking.
Piston in the disc brake caliper
sticking.
Brake pads sticking in caliper.
Return spring weakened.

Obstructions in hydraulic circuit.
Rotor warped excessively.
