Changing Oil

Refer to Safety Precautions on page 69.
Change the oil with the Front Differential at normal operating
temperature to assure complete and rapid draining.
1. Park the Honda MUV on a firm, level surface.
2. Place an oil drain pan under the oil drain plug.
3. Remove the oil filler cap and the drain plug.
4. After the oil has completely drained, reinstall the drain plug and
tighten it to the specified torque:
9 lbf·ft (12 N·m , 1.2 kgf·m)
5. Fill the front differential with the recommended oil.
22.5 US oz (665 cm³)
6. Make sure the oil level is at the lower edge of the oil filler inspection
hole.
7. Install and tighten the oil filler cap to the specified torque:
9 lbf ft (12 N m , 1.2 kgf m)
8. Pour the drained oil into a suitable container and dispose of it in an
approved manner (page 162).
Improper disposal of drained fluids is harmful to the environment.
