The ILOM Network Configuration Cannot Be Set
(CR 6835854, 6779753)
In case that the NET-MGT port of ILOM has not been connected with the LAN cable
and the network gateway is not set, the ILOM network configuration cannot be set.
Output example when the settings cannot be applied:
-> set /SP/network/ pendingipdiscovery=static
Set 'pendingipdiscovery' to 'static'
-> set /SP/network/ pendingipaddress=192.9.200.33
Set 'pendingipaddress' to '192.9.200.33'
-> set /SP/network/ pendingipnetmask=255.255.255.0
Set 'pendingipnetmask' to '255.255.255.0'
-> set /SP/network/ commitpending=true
set: Unable to get network management property
->
-> show /SP/network/ -d properties
/SP/network
Properties:
commitpending = (Cannot show property)
dhcp_server_ip = none
ipaddress = (none)
ipdiscovery = (none)
ipgateway = (none)
ipnetmask = (none)
macaddress = (none)
pendingipaddress = 192.9.200.33
pendingipdiscovery = static
pendingipgateway = (none)
pendingipnetmask = 255.255.255.0

Workaround: None. Connect the LAN cable to the NET-MGT port of ILOM and then
set the network configuration.
