To remove the existing processor
1.
Turn off the computer and unplug all power cords. Take
suitable anti-static precautions and remove the system cover.
See the section on "Anti-static precautions" in the Safety &
Regulatory Notices.
 If the system was in use just before starting this procedure,
the processor will be hot, wait at least 15 minutes.
2.
If there are any expansion cards fitted that obstruct access to
the processor, you may have to remove them.
3.
Remove the floppy drive assembly.
4.
Remove the metal support bar across the centre of the chassis.
 Be careful, this also supports and is fixed to, the expansion
riser card.
