L. Assemble the spring and adder weight
guide rod retainer sleeves as shown.

Test the adder weight selector
mechanism. Make sure that it engages
into the adder weight smoothly.
Lubricate the guide rods using a Teflon
based spray lubricant. Paramount
recommends TriFlow brand.
Test the system by placing the selector pin
into the cap plate and engaging the adder
weight. Pull the cable to its maximum
extension. Verify that it moves freely
without binding or chattering. Return to
the rest position. Verify that the cap plate
returns smoothly.
