REMOVING THE FRONT FAIRING

◆
Place the vehicle on the stand, see page
60 (PLACING THE VEHICLE ON THE
STAND).
◆
Turn the ignition switch to position " ".
◆
Remove the rear-view mirrors, see page
83 (REMOVING THE FAIRING UPPER
FRONT COVERS).
◆
Release the four plastic rivets (1) using a
flat-blade screwdriver.
◆
Release and remove the screw (2) in the
centre.
CAUTION
Do not overtighten the screw (2) on
refitting, as it sits on plastic.

Release and remove the snap-on
fasteners (3) securing the front fairing to
the side fairings.
Disconnect the two connectors (4) on
either side of the front fairing.
Disconnect the connector (5) on either
side of the front fairing.
◆
Detach the front fairing (6) complete with
headlight.
M a k e s u r e t o r e f i t t h e e l e c t r i c a l
connectors (4) and (5) to the matching
connectors on assembly.
Handle plastic and paint-finished parts
w i t h c a r e t o a v o i d s c r a t c h i n g o r
damage.

After refitting:

Set the rear-view mirrors at the correct
angle.
