REMOVING THE REAR SHOCK
ABSORBER ASSEMBLIES AND
SWINGARM
1. Stand the vehicle on a level surface.
w
Securely support the vehicle so that there is
no danger of it falling over.
NOTE:
Place the vehicle on a suitable stand so that the
rear wheel is elevated.
2. Remove:
9 center panel
9 rear cowlings (left and right)
Refer to "REMOVING THE REAR COWL-
INGS" in chapter 3.
9 muffler
Refer to "REMOVING THE ENGINE" in
chapter 4.
9 rear wheel
Refer to "REAR WHEELAND BRAKE".
3. Remove:
9 drive chain case bolts
9 drive chain case 1
1
4. Remove:
9 cotter pin
9 washer
9 brake torque rod 1
