If you switch the ignition off
then on again and the ABS

fault in the ABS.

Operation
The BMW Motorrad ASC sys-
tem can be deactivated and ac-
tivated and switched to an off-
road mode (
93) for riding on
pebbly or gravely surfaces and on
loose sand.
ASC is active when the ASC
symbol does not show.
This symbol appears on the
display to indicate that ASC
is active in off-road mode.
This symbol appears on the
display to indicate that ASC
has been deactivated.
Sequence of operations:
Switch from ASC to off-road

ASC

Deactivate ASC
Activate ASC
Switching and
deactivating ASC function
Switch on the ignition.
You have the option of de-
activating the ASC function
while the motorcycle is on the
move.
To switch to offroad ASC,
press and hold down button 1
until the ASC symbol changes
status.
The off-road ASC symbol
appears on the display; if
self-diagnosis has not completed
the off-road ASC symbol flashes.
Release button 1 within two
seconds.
The off-road ASC symbol
remains visible or continues
to flash.
The off-road ASC function is
activated.
