OVERRIDE
If an extension is busy, you may be permitted to send a signal (either off-hook ringing or a voice-announcement) to the called
party indicating that you are trying to get through; or you may break in directly into the conversation of the busy party and all
parties hear and may speak.
The extension is busy:-
To set an override
- Dial 8 0 9
- If you hear ring tone, wait for the extension to
accept your call, or if on voice announce, make
your request

MESSAGE WAITING

If the extension does not answer or is busy you may wish to leave a visual message waiting indication alerting the extension to
return your call. A message waiting indication may be initiated from both a key telephone and a single line telephone but the
latter may only receive a message waiting indication if the appropriate equipment is fitted.
To leave a message waiting (MW) request
- Call the extension
- Dial 8 4 1 and listen for confirmation tone

The MW or FTR lamp shows steady red or your
Indicator lamp steady green
BREAK IN
To break in
- Dial 8 1 0 and listen for thetone
- You are immediately into the call and may
speak
To cancel a message waiting (MW) request

- Dial 8 7 1
- Dial the extension for whom the MW
has been left
- Listen for confirmation tone

The MW or FTR or Indicator lamp goes out
