Setting Lock

Setting Lock lets you set a password to stop other people from accidentally changing your machine's settings.
Make a careful note of your password. If you forget it, you must reset the passwords stored in the machine.
Please call your administrator or Brother Customer Service.
While Setting Lock is On, you cannot change the following settings without the password:
Paper Tray
General Setup
Print Menu (except Table Print)
Network (except Status, Mac Address, Status Info. and Device Info. of Wi-Fi Direct
Reset Menu
Auto Correction of Color Correction

Setting up the password

Press a or b ( + or -) to choose General Setup. Press OK.

Press a or b ( + or -) to choose Setting Lock. Press OK.

Enter a four-digit number for the password. To enter each digit, press a or b ( + or -) to choose a number,
and then press OK.

Re-enter the password when the LCD displays Verify:.
Changing your Setting Lock password
Turn Setting Lock off before you change the password (see Turning Setting Lock on/off on page 106).

Press a or b ( + or -) to choose General Setup. Press OK.

Press a or b ( + or -) to choose Setting Lock. Press OK.

Press a or b ( + or -) to choose Set Password. Press OK.

Enter the registered four-digit password. To enter each digit, press a or b ( + or -) to choose a number,
and then press OK.

Enter a four-digit number for the new password. To enter each digit, press a or b ( + or -) to choose a
number, and then press OK.
f
Re-enter the password when the LCD displays Verify:.
