UNPACKING

•
The package containing a printer weighs approximately 40kg (80lbs), so it is too
heavy for one person to carry. It needs two adults to move the printer. Since the
printer is a precision machine, make sure that it is carried slowly with care so that no
impact occurs to the printer while moving it.
•
Do not attempt to lift a printer when it is covered by the vinyl bag because it is slippery
and may result in damage and injury if dropped.
2.1 Unpacking the Printer
Refer to Fig.3-2 on the next page.
1) Remove the binding tape from the top of the package.
2) Open the top of the package and take the starter kit out.
3) Remove the upper packing.
4) Take the customize kit** out.
5) Remove the plastic joints (4 locations).
6) Lift the outer box up from around the printer.
7) Take the power cable. (for US / Canada only).
8) Open up the vinyl bag enclosing the printer.
9) Lift up the printer with another person's help, and move it away from the vinyl bag.
10) Set up the printer in a suitable location.
** For USA/Canada, it contains the user's guide and printer driver disks.
For other countries, it contains the user's guide, printer driver disks and the power
cable.
