You cannot hear sound.

Cause
The audio cable is not connected
correctly.
The [MUTE] function is enabled.
The volume level is adjusted to the
minimum.
An audio cable with a built-in resis-
tor is used.

The projected image is blur.

Cause
The image is out of focus.
The lens cap is not removed.
The distance to the screen is too
short.
The projector is not placed straight
in front of the screen.
The projector has been moved to a
place where the temperature varies
a lot.
The lens is stained.

You cannot project an image appropriately.

Cause
The projected image is inverted in
the vertical or horizontal direction.

Check the cable connection of the audio cable (P36).
Press the [MUTE] button on the remote control (P76).
Press the [VOL+] button on the remote control or top control to
adjust the volume level (P77).
Use an audio cable without a built-in resistor.
Adjust the focus (P49).
Remove the lens cap.
Check whether the distance to the screen is appropriate. If the
distance is shorter than approximately 1.2 m (3.9'), the projec-
tor cannot focus on the screen (P30, 129).
Check whether the projector is placed obliquely to the screen.
A slight error in the projection angle can be corrected through
the keystone adjustment function (P39, 50).
When the projector is moved from a low-temperature place to
a high-temperature place, condensation may form on the lens.
The condensation will evaporate a while later and the projec-
tor will be able to project a normal image.
Clean up the lens (P116).
The ceiling mounted/rear projection setting is incorrect. Check
the [Image flip H/V] setting in the [Display settings] menu
(P95).
