Radio

There is no sound while tuning (automatic/manual) is in progress.
Automatic tuning provides stereo reception while manual tuning provides monaural reception.

Preparation:
Connect the antenna cords. (P.8)

Listening to FM/AM radio

Press [TUNER/BAND] to select "FM" or "AM".
You can also select "FM" or "AM" on the main unit by pressing [INPUT]
to change the input source to "TUNER", and then pressing [BAND] to
select "FM" or "AM".

Press [AUTO/MONO] to select the tuning mode (automatic
search or manual search).
You can also select the tuning mode on the main unit by pressing
[TUNING MODE].
If the reception is good, select automatic search. ("AUTO" indicator
lights up.)
If the reception is poor, select manual search.

Press [TUNING 1 ] / [TUNING ¡ ] to tune into a station.
You can also tune into a station on the main unit by pressing [ 4 ]
or [ ¢ ].
If automatic search is selected in step 2, the System automatically
tunes in to the next station. Repeat this procedure until you are
tuned in to your preferred station.
If manual search is selected in step 2, press and hold the button until
you reach your desired frequency.
When a station is tuned in, "TUNED" indicator lights up. "ST." indicator
also lights up when receiving a stereo signal (only for FM stations).
To select a preset station
Store preset stations beforehand (P.23).
Press [P.CALL 4 ] or [P.CALL ¢ ] to select the previous/next stored
station. To browse through the stored stations, press and hold the button.
Press the number buttons to select the desired preset station. (P.13)
To change the display information
Press [ DISPLAY ] repeatedly.
Each time you press the button, the display changes as....
FM:
Program service name* = Frequency = Day/Clock = (back to the
beginning)
AM:
Frequency = Day/Clock = (back to the beginning)
* "NO PS" appears if the program service name is not received.
