Display of Ethernet Board of ftServer Utility
ftServer Utility displays the information of Network Controller.
Although NEC Express5800/R320a-E4/R320b-M4 has two built-in Network Ports, only one
Network Controller is displayed in the tree of the Ethernet Board because one Network Controller
exists per module.
Ethernet board status on ftServer Utility
Physical Network Controller status appears on the right pane of the Ethernet Board (10/6), (11/6)
under ftServer Utility [ftServer] - [PCI Module] - [PCI Module(ID:10),(ID11)]. Thus, the status
shows "Online" as long as the Network Controller is normal regardless of whether or not LAN cable
is connected.
Additionally, if duplication of LAN cable is completed properly when implementing an optional
Ethernet Board, each status shows "Duplex" on the right pane of the optional Ethernet Board.
However, if the LAN cable is disconnected on only one side of the CPU/IO module and duplication
is not performed properly, the status of the disconnected optional Ethernet Board shows "Online."
The other side of the optional Ethernet Board status shows "Simplex".
Example: The following shows the status when all the LAN cables are connected to the CPU/IO
modules and duplication is performed properly.
