13.5.8 Test operation mode

(1) Preparation and cancel of test operation mode
(a) Preparation of test operation mode
Set the test operation mode type in the following procedure.
1) Selection of test operation mode
Send the command [8][B] + data No. [0][0] to select the test operation mode.

2) Confirmation of test operation mode
Read the test operation mode set for the slave station, and confirm that it is set correctly.

Send the command [0][0] + data No. [1][2].

The slave station returns the set test operation mode.

2: Positioning operation
3: Motorless operation

(b) Cancel of test operation mode
To terminate the test operation mode, send the command [8][B] + data No. [0][0] + data.

POINT
The test operation mode is used to confirm operation. Do not use it for actual
operation.
If communication stops for longer than 0.5s during test operation, the servo
amplifier decelerates to a stop, resulting in servo lock. To prevent this, continue
communication all the time, e.g. monitor the status display.
Even during operation, the servo amplifier can be put in the test operation mode.
In this case, as soon as the test operation mode is selected, the base circuit is
shut off, coasting the servo amplifier.
