4. Use /b to select [HDMI Standby
Mode], and press ENTER.
y On
The Control with HDMI function can be
used even when the unit is in standby
mode.
y Off
The Control with HDMI function cannot
be used when the unit is in standby
mode. (Default setting)
5. Use /b to select [TV Input], and press
ENTER.
y TV(ARC)
Audio from the TV is input via HDMI.
(Default setting)
y Optical IN-1
To input audio from the TV, select the
input connected to the TV by the optical
digital audio cable.
6. Press RETURN to exit.

Operation during linkage

Linked operation is performed as shown below
for TVs supporting the Control with HDMI
function that are connected to the unit.
• Theater mode
y If you use the menu screen of your TV
with Control with HDMI function to set
so that audio is output from the unit, you
can set to Theater mode.
y When Theater mode is set, it is canceled
by turning off the unit. Then, when the TV
menu screen is used to set so that the
audio is output from the unit, the power
for the unit is turned on, and Theater
mode is activated again. (However, this
happens only when HDMI Standby mode
is turned on.)
y When Theater mode is set, if the menu
screen of your TV is used to set so that
audio is output from the TV, Theater mode
will be canceled.
Control with HDMI function
• Linking power with TV
y When the TV power is set to standby
mode, the power for the unit is also set to
standby mode.
• Automatic input switching
y When the input source for the TV is
switched, the input source for the unit is
also switched at the same time.
y Linked operation continues even if the
input source for the unit is set to a source
other than TV.
• Auto select function
y If USB, Media Server, Wi-Fi Direct, or
YouTube of the unit is pressed, the TV
input switches automatically, and video
from the unit is displayed on the TV.
Notes on Control with
HDMI function
• When a TV supporting the Control with HDMI
function is connected to the unit and Theater
mode is set using the TV remote control,
the input source of the unit is switched
automatically whenever the TV input source
is switched, and audio is output from the
unit. During this usage, the audio from the
TV is muted. If the TV does not support ARC
(Audio Return Channel), connect using an
optical digital audio cable (page 19).
• Connect the TV directly to the unit.
Malfunctions can occur if the TV is
connected to a device other than the unit,
such as an amplifier or AV converter (HDMI
switch), before connecting to the unit.
