Installing the Processor Module

Follow these steps to install the Pentium II processor module into the socket on
the CPU board.
1. With the processor module pointing downward, align the processor to the
posts of the retention mechanism then lower it down. See Figure 2-11.
2. Press down the processor module until the edge connectors completely fit
into the socket.

The edge connectors of the Pentium II
module are slotted such that it only fits in one
direction. Make sure that module groove
matches the one on the processor socket.
