Recording an image from a tape as a still
image
Your camcorder can read moving picture data recorded on a tape and record it as a
still image on a "Memory Stick." Your camcorder can also take in moving picture data
through the input connector and record it as a still image on a "Memory Stick."
Before operation
Insert a recorded tape and a "Memory Stick" into your camcorder.

When the access lamp is lit or is flashing
Never shake or strike the unit. Also, do not turn the power off, eject a "Memory Stick"
or remove the battery pack. Otherwise/ image data breakdown may occur.
If
The inserted "Memory Stick" is incompatible with your camcorder because its format
does not conform to that of your camcorder. Check the format of the "Memory Stick."
If you press PHOTO lightly in the playback mode
The playback pauses momentarily.
Sound recorded on a tape
You cannot record the sound from a tape.
When the auto logo insert function is activated
You cannot use this function.

Set the POWER switch to VCR.
Press . The picture recorded on the tape is played back.
Keep pressing PHOTO lightly until the picture from the tape freezes.
"CAPTURE" appears on the LCD screen or in the viewfinder. Recording does
not start yet.
Press PHOTO deeper. The image displayed on the screen will be recorded on
a "Memory Stick." Recording is complete when the bar scroll indicator
disappears.
