During this time (5-10 sec.) the laser may radiate through the lens of the laser pick-up unit.

    DVD-S1700 Warning for power supply The primary side of the power supply carries live mains voltage when the player is connected to the mains even when the player is switched off ! This primary area is not shielded so it is possible to touch copper tracks and/or components when servicing the player.
