There is a separate lett needle set sc rew L) for tightening the ktt
needle and a right needle set screw (R) for tightening the right
fl
OCdle
The needle set screw holds each needle. Bear this in mind when
you loosen the set screw to exchange one or both needles.

The left needle should be installed so that
it
is shorter than the right
needle.
To remove the needle
1) Turn the main power swit Ii to of).
2) Turn the handwheel ounter( lockwise by hand until the needle
is
in
its highest position.
3) Loosen the needle set s resv with a screwdriver and remove the
needle.
Lightly tighten the screw at the unused needle position, so that it
does not fall out while sewing. J
To insert the needle
1) Turn the main power switch to off.
2) Turn the handwheel until the needle bar is in its highest position.
3) Hold the needle with its flat side away from you and insert it as far as it goes.
4) Tighten the needle set screw securely.
5) If a needle does not go up all the way it may be necessary to loosen the other needle screw.
