Journaling SafeNet/400 Security Files

You may wish to journal all changes made to any of the SafeNet/400 security files for audit
purposes. Three programs are provided to assist with the journaling process:
1.
Call PCSECLIB/STRSAFEJRN
• Creates all required journals (SAFENET) in library PCSECLIB
• Creates journal receiver (SAFE1) in library PCSECLIB
• Starts journaling on eleven SafeNet/400 control files
2.
Call PCSECLIB/ENDSAFEJRN
• Stops journaling on the eleven SafeNet/400 control files
3.
Call PCSECLIB/DLTSAFEJRN
• Deletes all associates journals and journal receivers
Note: Options 2 and 3 (END and DELETE) require a dedicated System i5 and must be
performed from the system console while the System i5 is in a restricted state.
Although at this time we have not provided any reporting programs for the SafeNet/400 journals,
we intend to make that report available as a PTF at a future date.
