Connection to RS-485 connector
(1) When connecting the parameter unit
Use the optional FR-CB2
operation from the operation panel is not accepted. (
(2) RS-485 communication
Using the RS-485 connector, you can perform communication operation from a
personal computer etc. By connecting the RS-485 connector to computers such
as personal computer and FA with a communication cable, you can run/monitor
the inverter and read/write parameter values using a user program. For further
details, refer to the instruction manual (detailed).
· Conforming standard: EIA-485 (RS-485)
· Transmission format: Multi-drop link
· Communication speed: Maximum 19200 bps
· Overall extension: 500m (1640.42 feet)
CAUTION
Do not plug the connector to a computer LAN board, fax modem socket, tele-
phone modular connector etc. As they are different in electrical specifications,
the inverter may be damaged.
