Problem
The coffee system
does not turn on
at the
programmed time
even though "Turn
on at" is activated.
The displayed
messages are
difficult to read.
After the coffee
system has been
turned on, the
message "Fill and
insert water
container"
appears although
the tank is full and
inserted.
The system does
not rinse.
The milk pipework
is being rinsed but
no rinse water
comes out of the
main dispenser.
The message "Fill
and insert water
container is
displayed.
No milk or milk
froth comes out of
the main
dispenser.
Possible cause and solution
System lock is activated.
^ Deactivate system lock (see "Settings – System lock").
No days of the week have been selected.
^ Check the timer settings and adjust if necessary (see
"Settings – Timers").
The coffee system was not used after being automatically
turned on three times in a row (see "Settings – Timers").
^ Turn the system on and prepare a drink.
The brightness of the display is set too low.
^ Adjust this setting (see "Settings – Display brightness").
There is limescale build-up in the coffee system.
^ Touch the On/Off sensor K to turn off the coffee system.
Wait for approx. 1 hour.
^ Turn the system on again. As soon as "Preheating phase"
appears, touch "Maintenance" (bottom right) and select
"Descale unit".
^ Descale the coffee system. You may need to repeat the
descaling process.
If after this the fault message appears in the display again,
contact Miele Technical Service.
The milk pipework or the air intake hose is clogged.
^ Follow the instructions in chapter "Cleaning clogged milk
pipework".
