    Remotely via MIDI. Up to 9 units can be simultaneously controlled with MIDI in Pro Tools, or 16 with some other MIDI device. The HV-3R can be used as a stand-alone, locally controlled eight-channel mic preamp similar to its sister product, the renowned HV-3D.     Overload Indication – To the right of the channel number is an “OL” icon (Channel 2 above) which appears if the channel output equals or exceeds a peak of +22 dBu. Note that the HV-3R’s unclipped output is +32 dBu. “OL” does not indicate the clip point of the HV-3R’s analog sections.
