Direct Attached Storage Function

Note: Before using the Direct Attached Storage function, make sure your DNS-313 has been configured.
(Please refer to "Installation"). The DAS function will not work without the system being installed.
The DNS-313 features a built-in Direct Attached Storage function to allow the DNS-313 to function as a USB
2.0 Portable Drive. Just plug it into your computer and it installs automatically with Windows 2000, XP, or
Vista computers.
Connect the power adapter to the power receptacle of the DNS-313, then, connect the USB cable into the
USB port on the back of DNS-313.
Connect the other end of USB cable into the USB port on the desktop or notebook you are adding the
DNS-313 to.
