Using the Buttons for controlling Cubase

Using the CUBASE FUNCTION

When using Cubase, you can call up various
windows of Cubase by using the CUBASE
FUNCTION [A] and [B] buttons.
■ When using Cubase 4/Cubase Studio 4:
The CUBASE FUNCTION [A] button can be used
for calling up the Sound Frame dialog.
The CUBASE FUNCTION [B] button can be used
for calling up the Mixer window.
■ When using Cubase AI4:
The CUBASE FUNCTION [A] button can be used
for calling up the List Editor window.
CUBASE FUNCTION [B] button can be used for
calling up the Mixer window.
The functions of the CUBASE FUNCTION [A] and
[B] buttons can be changed as desired. For details,
see the next section.
Using the KX with Cubase
Assigning the function to the
buttons for controlling Cubase
The buttons for controlling Cubase can be changed
as necessary. To do this, follow the instructions
below:
1.
Select "Device Setup" from the "Device"
menu.
The "Device Setup" dialog appears.
2.
Click "Yamaha KX" in the Device column.
Category
Click "Yamaha KX."
The following buttons are assignable.
• CUBASE FUNCTION [A] and [B] buttons
• [ASSIGN 1] and [ASSIGN 2] buttons
• [MUTE] button
• [SOLO] button
• [VSTi WINDOW] button
• [ADD INSTRUMENT] button
3.
Click the Category column of the desired
button, then select the desired Category
from the pop-up menu.
When selecting the Category including multiple
commands, click the Command column then
select the desired function from the pop-up
menu.
4.
Click [OK] after completing the setup.
The "Device Setup" dialog closes.
