Troubleshooting

Unit does not operate
Does the display light?
Is Energy Saver key flashing?
Is display turned OFF?
(See page 18)
Does the Add Paper Indicator appear on
display? (J)
Does the Paper Misfeed Indicator appear
on display? (I)
Does "U1" appear in the copy count
display?
Does "P##" appear in the copy count
display?
Note: "##" in the display means how many
Does any of the E#-## indicator and
message appear on display?
Copies come out in blank.

Check
copies are left to copy.
Blank Copies
Action
Check if the Power Switch is turned On and
if the power cord is inserted into the outlet.
Press Energy Saver key on control panel.
Add paper. (See page 24) or check if the
paper tray is closed completely.
When the 2nd paper feed module is not installed,
the paper size should be selected "0: Not installed".

Remove misfed paper.

Right cover is open. Please close it.
Copying is interrupted due to one of the
following conditions.
1. Paper
Add paper to the paper tray when
Paper Misfeed Indicator is lighting.
2. Toner Cartridge
Change toner cartridge when the
indicator of Change Toner Cartridge is
flashing.
3. Paper Jam
Remove misfed paper when Paper
Misfeed Indicator is lighting.
Turn copier power switch off, then back
on. If error code comes back again, call
your Panasonic authorized dealer.
Check if the toner cartridge is installed.
