Print troubleshooting

Symptom
Poor text and graphic
quality, including:
• Blank page
• Incorrect colors
• Missing characters
• Faded print
• Dark print
• Skewed lines
• Smudges
• Streaks
• Unexpected
characters
• White lines in print
Solution
Check the ink level, and install a new print cartridge if
necessary.
To check the ink level, open the Lenovo Solution
Center. See "Using the Lenovo Solution Center" on
page 12.
To install a new cartridge, see "Replacing the print
cartridge" on page 27.
The Low Ink warning occurs when the cartridge is
25% full, 15% full, and 10% full.
See "Improving print quality" on page 32.
To avoid ink smudging when you are using the
following types of media or documents, remove each
sheet as it exits, and allow it to dry:
• Document with graphics or images
• Photo paper
• Coated or glossy paper
• Transparencies
• Iron-on transfers
Note: Transparencies may take up to 15 minutes to
dry.
Use only new, unwrinkled paper.
