This section explains how to play a disc. As well as normal playback, you can use folder
playback, random playback, repeat playback and program playback.

Playing a Disc

Insert and play the disc.
If a disc is already inserted, simply press the [CD/DVDD] key to turn the system on
and begin playback.

Press the [L] key to open the disc tray and then insert the disc.

Press the [L] key to close the disc tray.
The "READING" message fl ashes while the unit is reading the information on the
disc.

Press the [CD/DVDD] key.

A disc is inserted

in the tray.
Track numbers may not display correctly while following types of discs are play-
ing.
– Discs recorded in Mix mode
– Discs recorded in multiple sessions
– Discs recorded in mixed formats of CD-DA format and formats that are not
music data
When playing a DVD, the menu screen may display on the TV screen first. In
such case, follow the menu screen. (See P.34)

Mix mode combines the CD-DA format with audio fi les, such as MP3 and WMA.

side faces upwards and the
disc sits snugly in the tray.
