Start your order by choosing a rack to house your EVA4400 based on the HP 10000 G2 Series Rack.
NOTE: The 10000 G2 Series Rack is the only series supported for factory configuration. NOTE: NOTE: NOTE:
Use of the EVA Factory Integration part number is required for component integration. The EVA4400 will
be configured into a 42U HP 10000 G2 Series Rack with the appropriate PDU. If other products such as
servers or back-up products are included in the cab a different PDU will be added (if required) or can be
chosen from a list of appropriate offerings shown in the configuration tool. HP 10000 G2 Series Rack
must be purchased. Additional EVA4400 controller enclosures and drive enclosures may be ordered for
multiple subsystem integration at the factory. The 5642 (42U) Rack Cabinet System is supported for field
installation. This rack may be purchased along with EVA component pieces for assembly in the field. The
HP 5642 rack system is an entry level rack with sufficient features for easy access and ease of use.
When calculating available U-space, assume that no space will be placed between the mounted
components. For redundancy, order PDUs in quantities of two. Refer to the Configuration and User
Guide in the Information Library at the Rack Solutions webpage.

Select HP ProLiant Storage Servers (plus a Fibre Channel HBA) add file and print services to an EVA or
Fibre Channel SAN. ProLiant DL380 G5 x64 SAN Storage Server and DL585 G2 Storage Server
gateways each feature Microsoft's Windows Unified Data Storage Server 2003 operating system that also
includes Microsoft iSCSI Software Target and a cluster license standard (Microsoft iSCSI Software Target is
optional for other DL380 G5 Storage Server models). In addition, any ProLiant DL380 G5 Storage Server
or DL585 G2 Storage Server is a perfect platform from which to run Command View EVA. You stretch
your investment even further when you host EVA management, file and print services, and iSCSI
connectivity all from the same ProLiant Storage Server gateway solution.
