Answering machine setup
The outgoing The X2i is supplied with two predefined outgoing
message messages (OGM). One is for use in ANSWER ONLY
mode and one for use in ANSWER & RECORD mode.
■ Both of these can be replaced with your own pre-
recorded message if you prefer.
■ To pre-record an outgoing message you must first
follow the procedure set the answer mode
To record a After setting the answer mode you can choose
new outgoing between using a predefined outgoing message
message: or using a personalised one that you have
recorded. If you select Personalised you will
then need to record a new message.

existing message
Press the â button and the MENU/OK

Speak clearly into the handset

recording

Press the MENU/OK button to play the
message. If you are not happy with the
result repeat steps 4 and 5
8 Use the CANCEL button to exit the menu
