Remove the top cover:
1. Remove the four rubber feet (1) and the eight Phillips PM2.0×12.0 screws (2) that secure the top
cover to the base enclosure.
2. Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×5.0 screws (1) and the four Phillips PM2.0×2.0 screws (2) that
secure the top cover to the base enclosure.
3. Turn the computer right-side up, with the front toward you.
4. Release the top cover by lifting the front edge (1) until it rests at an angle.
5. Disconnect the LED board cable (2) from the system board.
6. Disconnect the TouchPad cable (3) from the low insertion force (LIF) connector on the system
board. from the system board.
