Disconnect the speaker cable (1) from the system board.

Remove the four Torx T8M2.5×5.0 screws (2) that secure the top cover to the computer.

Lift the rear edge of the top cover (1) and swing it up and forward until it rests at an angle.

Lift up on the outside edges of the top cover left and right sides (2) until the top cover disengages
7.
from the base enclosure.
Lift up on the front edge of the top cover (3) until the TouchPad board cable is accessible.
8.
Disconnect the TouchPad board cable (4) from the system board.
9.
Remove the top cover.
10.
Reverse this procedure to install the top cover.
