5.8.15 Setting the Dialing Mode

Tone dialing or pulse dialing functionalities are provided for PSTN calls to provide
compatibility with other telephone systems.

In standby mode, press MENU to display the main menu.
Use the navigation keys to highlight Handset, and then select Select or press OK.
Use the up or down navigation key to highlight Auto answer, and then select Select.
Use the up or down navigation key to select ON (enabling the function) or OFF
(disabling the function). Then select Select.
In standby mode, press MENU to display the main menu.
Use the navigation keys to highlight Base, and then select Select or press OK.
Enter the current base unit PIN (preset to 1590), and then press OK.
Use the up or down navigation key to highlight Dialing mode, and then select Select.
Use the left or right navigation key to select DTMF (tone dialing) or PULSE (pulse
dialing), and then select Save to save the setting.
