Solving Common Problems

The following table lists possible problems, the possible cause of
each problem, and the recommended solutions.
Problem
No picture.
Image is scrolling or
unstable.
LED on monitor is not
lit.
Picture is fuzzy or
color looks blotchy.

Possible Cause
Power switch is turned
off.
Video cable is
improperly connected.
Bent pins on the signal
connector.
Display card is loose in
slot.
Signal cable is loose.
Power switch is turned
off.
Moire Canceler,
Brightness, Contrast,
Degauss, or Corner
Purity controls are set
incorrectly.
Solution
Turn on the power.
Connect the video cable
properly. Refer to Chapter 3,
Setting Up the Monitor, for
more information.
Check connector for bent or
pushed-in pins.
Re-seat the display card.
Reconnect the signal cable.
Turn on the power.
Access the All Reset (Factory
Preset) through OSD controls
and activate it to restore
factory presets.
