(ATF) from the failed logical unit number (LUN). ATF will reestablish the communica-
tion link between the cluster node and storage device, or reroute the connection
through a secondary path. If multiple LUN failures occur in your cluster, run ATF from
all of the cluster nodes.
To run ATF , perform the following steps:
1.
Open a Command Prompt window.
2.
Change to the directory where the ATF executable programs are stored.
For example, directory c:\\program files\dell openmanage\powervault
manager\dell openmanage atf).
Type atf_restore atf_sp0 and press <Enter>.
3.
The failed access path is restored.
For more information on using Dell OpenManage ATF , see the Dell OpenManage
ATF Operation Guide and the Dell PowerVault Storage Area Network (SAN)
Administrator's Guide.
Using the QLogic Fibre Channel Configura-
tion Software for PowerVault 65xF Storage
Processor Replacement
The QLogic Fibre Channel configuration utility is used in the event of a storage pro-
cessor failure. When the failed storage processor is replaced with the new storage
processor, the QLogic Fibre Channel configuration utility updates the list of worldwide
name associations stored in the firmware of the HBA and eliminates the need to
reboot the server in the event of a storage processor failure. This update must be
performed on all of the cluster nodes.
You must run the QLogic Fibre Channel configuration utility each time the hardware
on the SAN changes to create the appropriate settings for the replaced device.
If the failed storage processor is part of a zone, you need to update the alias, zone,
and configuration information on the PowerVault 5xF switch after you replace the stor-
age processor. See the Dell PowerVault 5xF Switches Zoning Guide for more
information.
Determining the RAID Levels of the Shared
Disk Volumes
You can determine the RAID level of a shared disk volume by using the Windows
2000 Disk Management utility to view the volume size.
