Creating and editing programs

Create a new
program

The HP 39gs prompts
you for a name.
A program name can contain special characters,
such as a space. However, if you use special
characters and then run the program by typing it in
HOME, you must enclose the program name in
double quotes (" "). Don't use the " symbol within your
program name.
3. Type your program
name, then press
When you press
the Program Editor
opens.
4. Enter your program. When done, start any other
activity. Your work is saved automatically.
Until you become familiar with the HP 39gs commands,
the easiest way to enter commands is to select them from
the Commands menu from the Program editor. You can
also type in commands using alpha characters.
1. From the Program editor, press
the Program Commands menu.
