Using your computer in monitor mode

Your computer can work in two modes: computer mode or monitor mode. This section provides instructions
on how to use your computer in monitor mode.
To use your computer in monitor mode, you need to have a second computer. Connect one end of the
VGA cable to the VGA-in connector on the rear of your computer, and connect the other end to the VGA
connector on the second computer. Turn on your computer, and then press the VGA-in control on the front
of the computer to use the computer in monitor mode. Press the brightness-up / Auto-adjusting control
button, and the screen is automatically optimized.
Note: To return to the computer mode, press the VGA-in control on the front of the computer to return
to the computer mode.

Locating connectors on the rear of your computer

Figure 2 "Rear connector locations" on page 81 shows the locations of the connectors on the rear of your
computer. Some connectors on the rear of your computer are color-coded to help you determine where to
connect the cables to your computer.
