Disconnect the following cables and harnesses from the main PCB.
- the CIS flat cable,
- the panel-main harness, and
- the CIS motor harness

(7) Press section "X" on the left edge of the scanner cover outwards to provide enough gap and
pull out the panel-main harness from the cable guide.
