    Cover: remove by lifting up top section of carrying handle and pulling forward. Carrying handle Check bag indicator: shows red when paper bag should be checked for fullness. Extension wands: use with power nozzle. If added length is desired when using cleaning tools, add one or both wands to hose. Spring latch: locks extension wands together or locks wand to nozzle or tool.

  • Page 7 Attach second wand to the first. Position cord into cord clips on wands, placing excess cord between nozzle and bottom cord clip. To attach hose to wands, rotate plastic latch ring on hand grip until slots in opening align. Push hand grip onto wand so that button projection fits into slot.

    To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet.

    The suction regulator is located on the hand grip and is used to increase or decrease suction for various cleaning tasks. If the power nozzle is difficult to push on some carpet, open the suction regulator. This will prevent damage to the belt. Cleaning tools The cleaning tools have many uses.

    To connect and remove tools To connect tools, insert end of tool into extension wand and snap into position. To disconnect, press down on the center of the spring latch and remove tool. Tools attach to hand grip by rotating plastic ring until slots in the opening align.
