Input Channel

Two mixer input channels are shown below.
The controls available on the input channels are as follows:

This is the button at the top of the channel strip; when no source is selected to the channel, it will

Clicking the button offers two lists:
Inputs
opens a list of all the available Scarlett 18i8 inputs, and
DAW
selecting opens a list of all the available DAW outputs. Any
input not available is greyed-out.
Note that channels may be mono, or in pairs for stereo operation.
Stereo operation "borrows" an adjacent channel and lets you
control both left and right legs of the stereo signal with a single
fader. See page 24 for details of mono/stereo channel definition.
Note that an input can only be assigned to one channel in each
mix. If it has already been assigned, it will be greyed-out on other
channels.
To include previously-recorded DAW tracks, or audio from other
computer applications into the mix, select the two relevant
inputs as a stereo input track. These may typically be
DAW 2
, but this will depend how the outputs of the DAW or other
computer application are routed.
