For vehicles equipped with automatic climate control, the feature functions under the following conditions.

below 41°F (5°C)
CIVIC
CR-V
41°F (5°C) or above
below 45.5°F (7.5°C)
Other
models
45.5°F (7.5°C) or above
The automatic defrost function is activated from the factory and is operational apon installation of the remote engine
starter system.
When this function is deactivated, the air conditioner will function in the last set mode before exiting the car.
Function
automatically activates the air conditioner (defroster) to 72°F and rear
defogger/heated door mirror at engine start.
