This product has a fingerprint utility installed for
the purpose of enrolling and recognizing
fingerprints which can then be linked to a
username and password in order to remove the
need to input these details from the keyboard.
Just by swiping an enrolled finger against the
fingerprint sensor, the following functions will be
enabled:
Logon to Windows and access a security
enabled homepage through Desktop
Internet Explorer.
Unlock the password-protected screensaver.
Authentication of the User Password (and, if
applicable, the SSD (Solid State Drive)
Password) when booting up the computer
(Power-on Security).
Single Sign-on feature
Fingerprint security cannot be used in models
that do not have a fingerprint module installed.
TOSHIBA HDD Accelerator is an application that
can improve hard drive access performance by
using part of the main memory of the computer
as a cache.
To access this utility, click Desktop -> Desktop
Assist -> Tools & Utilities -> HDD Accelerator.

the help file.
This computer is equipped with "eco mode". This
mode slightly lowers performance of some
devices to reduce electric power consumption.
You can realize measurable power savings by
using it continuously.
TOSHIBA eco Utility helps you control and
monitor your power savings. Various information
can help you to understand your degree of
contribution to the environment.
Furthermore, this utility contains Peak shift
function that can help reduce power usage during
periods of peak demand by shifting some power
consumption to periods when demand is lower.
To access this utility, click Desktop -> Desktop
Assist -> Tools & Utilities -> eco Utility.
