Using the System

Using the Satellite Tuner(s)

Your DISH satellite receiver includes features that gives you greater flexibility
in how you watch TV. These features are enabled by the receiver's dynamic
ability to use either one or two satellite TV tuners, depending on your particular
installation.
One or Two Tuners
Your receiver delivers the same programming to all of the TVs connected to the
receiver TV1 output(s); if your system installation is configured to support
dual-tuner enabled features like Picture-In-Picture (PIP), then the receiver also
can provide this to one nearby TV.
Using Picture-In-Picture
If your existing system installation supports dual-tuner enabled features of the
receiver, then the PIP feature lets you watch two programs at once. The
following instructions describe how to use the PIP feature with your remote
control:
1. Press the PIP button on your remote control. The
the lower-right corner of the screen.
