anything which might leave a taint.
15 Switch the kettle off, and let it cool.
16 Remove the lid.
17 Slide the filter up and out of its guides.
18 Brush the filter under a running tap.
19 Rinse the kettle, to remove scale particles.
20 Slide the clean filter back into its guides.
21 Replace the lid.

The kettle must be earthed. Fit a 13A BS1362
fuse in a 13A BS1363 plug. Fit the
green/yellow wire to E or E, the
blue to N, the brown to L. Fit the
cord grip. If in doubt, call an
electrician. Don’t use a non-
rewireable plug unless the fuse
cover is fitted. If you remove the
plug, dispose of it.
