When you use this unit with an interface adap-
ter for iPod (CD-IB100B) (sold separately), you
can control an iPod with Dock Connector.

The Windows Media™ logo printed on the box
indicates that this unit can play back WMA
data.
WMA is short for Windows Media Audio and
refers to an audio compression technology

WMA data can be encoded by using Windows
Media Player version 7 or later.

Protecting your unit from
theft
The front panel can be detached from the
head unit and stored in the provided protective
case to prevent theft.
! If the front panel is not detached from the
head unit within five seconds of turning off
the ignition, a warning tone will sound and
the front panel will open.
! You can turn off the warning tone. See
Switching the warning tone on page 63.
! You can turn off the face auto open. See
Switching the face auto open on page 63.
Important
! Never use force or grip the display and the
buttons too tightly when removing or attach-
ing.
! Avoid subjecting the front panel to excessive
shock.
! Keep the front panel out of direct sunlight and
high temperatures.
